Oklahoma State Announces Home-and-Home with Alabama

Would that be top ten in the conference? If Gundy is here for both Alabama games, we will be 2-23 against OU with one conference championship. But I’m glad you think that is the best thing to happen to OSU. It’s definitely the best thing to happen to OU.

Doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive. Boone, Barry, and Gundy are the three statues we should have. If Weeden could’ve completed that ISU game and won the Heisman, he would be the 4th.

Best part about this news is that all the folks who hate the FCS game every season get what they’ve been wanting AND all the “BAMA ain’t scheduling OSU” crowd get to stew on it. I just pray i’m alive to see the games.

We’re still going to have fcs school every year with tulsa and the Louisiana school
Bama is not stopping fcs games

Zac Robinson would be a great hire. He has the knowledge and experience I believe at this point to take over. I think he would be able to sell Okstate to top recruits. I would assume he has the passion and drive to do so at a high level. He would have the support of donors and alumni immediately. It would be a ridiculously smooth transition. Those are all the positives.

The only negative is this, and I will believe this until I go to my grave or am absolutely proven wrong: You can not find a single coaching candidate from inside the Cowboy family who understands what it takes to win conference titles and beat OU on a consistent basis. It’s impossible. No one on this planet past or present qualifies. If you played football at Oklahoma State or coached at Oklahoma State, you can’t possibly know what it takes to accomplish that. Case in point: one guy called Gundy “the best thing to happen to OkState football ever for the long-term.” Or something similar. In 16 seasons, our “best coach ever” has 1 conference title and a 2-14 Bedlam record.

Not enough of you are allowing those stats to truly sink in and understand the level of frustration that some of us begging for change are experiencing.

I’m order to truly compete for a Natty and conference titles, and Bedlam wins in football, we HAVE to go outside the family.

Sink in sink in. For “us”. We can’t forget with a team of rainmen going 2 and 12 like its a pass word to ur free lunch.
So yes its sunk in.

I like Zac not saying he wouldn’t be a bad coach. There are just a couple of problems.
He has absolutely no connects to Texas high school.
Has no experience in college coaching.
Both can be over comed, but most coach haven’t. That’s why we have 3 new coach each year in the league.

My main question is why he was switch from qb to reciever.

One issue Zac may have does he want to coach college. I mean he could be here now.

We have had a couple of coach here that won natty’s why couldn’t they do it here. U say all we need is for someone who has the knowledge.

I wonder if any of u guys belive the chit u guys pile on the site.

You left out that Gundy has more football Bedlam loses than any coach in history.

You guys gotta help me out here. What school is my comparable for this simple task of jumping from mediocrity to beating blue blood rivals year after year, winning conference titles, and competing for national championships? What coach lifted some small market team in the modern era into a national powerhouse? This is not the NFL. There is no level playing field.

Chip Kelly at Oregon, I guess? But he was only a little more successful than Gundy and the big difference is that their conference blue blood (USC) has sucked for 20 years and isn’t in their division anyway. Who was even their best competition? Stanford? Their in-state rival sucks and the PAC 12 as a whole kind of sucks.

Gundy’s results are great for who we are. I’m hopeful he can put some 2011 lightning in a bottle again, but the conditions aren’t going to be right for that every year. Maybe once in 3 or 4 years will we even have the chance for that.

How about once in 16 years and counting.

Gundy’s hasn’t been any where close to Chip Kelly at Oregon. Gundy hasn’t been as successful as Bill Snyder at K State.

Snyder was at ksu for 20 years got 2. Most of his stuff came well before gundy was here.

What makes you think Gundy can get a second conference title in the next 4 seasons?

Sure why not. Still count all the losing season he had. I will give u the first couple.

I guess u got to look up all of the losing season. It’s easy for gundy 1.

You notice the 8 wins against OU while you’re looking.

Most of those wins were gotten when miles and Simmons got their 5 wins. See were this is leading.
U can’t cherry pic. Snyder was a good coach.

Yep better than Gundy. Which I think was my original point.

If u want to live through a half dozen losing season. Most of his best was in a weird time in the big 8 and the start of big 12. I said he was a good coach but not great like gundy

Results!

Yes ur rite half dozen losing season is bad

Less hardware is worse.
