The Cowboys are the latest to offer this touted Texas tailback.

If you want to be a championship caliber program then you have to go after championship caliber players.

Well, if that’s the only way, then we’re just going to have to accept that we’re never going to be that, and there’s no attainable coach that’s going to get us there. Gundy got within a millet’s length of at least getting to a NC without a bunch of recruiting stars. I get that was ten years ago. I think his approach of looking for hidden gems is smart. We’re not beating the 6-10 blue bloods at getting blue chips. If there’s no other way then just enjoy the highs and lows. This is not a level playing field. The NFL is the only major sport with anything approaching parity.

Nobody said it would happen over night. If Gundy would of continued recruiting in the top 25 at least every other year since 2011 the football program might be better than its current state. Sorry, but you don’t compete for championships with a 37th ranked recruiting class. Looks like Gundy finally came to terms that you might want to get 5-7 four stars or higher a season just to have that chance.

There is a difference between doing it one time and then doing it several times. Your basing Gundy’s one time success out of his many recent failures since 2011. If he’s not as good as a coach or doesn’t have as good of assistants any longer then he needs better players to make up for those deficiencies.

Nobody is asking him to do this either. The fact that programs like UNC, Maryland, Arkansas, and Indiana are out recruiting him should be a red flag. Nobody is saying that hidden gems aren’t a good thing. All people are asking for is a little better recruiting so he doesn’t get embarrassed on national television and to actually compete for something meaningful.

It’s still great Gundy is still are coach. U can go be a north Carolina fan.

SOS. Go after 4 stars that have had a season cut short do to injury. It’s easier to recruit a 4 star if he’s gimped up and the blue bloods have moved to a more for sure thing lol. Here is gundy’s strategy…go hard after under recruited four stars at 1 QB, 1RB, 1REC and the rest 3 stars and 1 diamond in the rough. Lazy recruiting. Next coach please and hurry up.

So you think 4th place finishes and annual bedlam beat downs is great?

U dnt even read any bodies post u go straight to 4th and 2 and 12.

There must be alot of hurt 4 stars out there for as many offers we have out.

The revamped recruiting rankings on Rivals show us in 3rd this year. We aren’t going to beat the goons or Texas many times if at all. We had a good class this year with several in the high 80’s

Somebody better get gundy another helicopter lol. Where did that boost in recruiting go towards?

You could give this guy a $10 mill more a year for recruiting and he still couldn’t get a top 15 class.

That’s great ur giving 10 million. No ur just talking out the back side

Ok, but he routinely outperforms all those schools you say recruit better than he does.

Screw top 15. He could get $10 million more and still not get a top 25 recruiting class.

Cool. Now imagine how much better it could be with better players!!!

Why don’t you answer the question? If you think it’s so great having Gundy around it must mean you enjoy being a middle of the pack Big 12 team and never beating your biggest rival.

You guys leave jeff and joe alone. They can’t help who they are. jeff can’t read or he would have found that the kids year got cut short for game CANCELLATIONS not injuries. And joe is well just joe. He’s the broken record player you used to slap to get the needle unstuck. He doesn’t know any better.
