I’m not talking about Cowboy fans behaving poorly. I’m saying that the “fire the coach” and “we should’ve won” stuff on here is very much like the OU fans. I’m not trying to convince you on taking it easy on my Sooner fans. We can be hard to handle.

They need to put some regulations and stipulations on it. The portal could be good but the way in which it’s being used currently is not good for anyone besides blue bloods and teams with deep pockets.
I said from the start the portal would be a death wish for many schools. It’s beyond control now even them saying there will be restrictions put in place to curb it. It’s absolutely a killer without huge donors. I heard ATM mentioned before he announced, that’s tampering but nothing will be done

“Tampering” was another thing I argued with a certain dude on here about. It absolutely happens. To think guys/coaches/players/parents/agents/handlers do all this by the book……is as naive as it gets.

Don’t say that……you’ll get a few people on here wound up if you say the bluebloods benefit from the portal. I was the Lone Ranger in that fight. The Haves get the best recruits out of HS & now the get the best players outta the portal too.
If they’d make guys sit out a year, it’d take care of a bunch of it. Guys would be far less willing to be a gypsy if they had to sit a year.

And himself, he’s obviously not hungry! Chad Weinberg, whatever the new AD’s name is did a bonehead move bumping his salary to 7.5 mill and giving him a 1-million bump every year for the next 5.

They definitely need to bring sitting out back. Unless you’re moving up or down a level or get a waiver by the NCAA. Guy moves from G5 to P5 or P5 to G5 I’m fine with immediate eligibility. P5 to P5 without a waiver with NIL is a total crock of shitt.
Ok yea I can see this. OSU has claimed to have gotten serious about football so now the fans are holding them to it by, in some cases, armchair quarterbacking the coaching positions. As the saying goes if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

Yea I just did and found an article covering it. Here is a quote “Gundy also receives a $125,000 increase in salary each year.” Doesn’t look like 1 mil raise per year to me.

@teatown is alright, but he does have his extreme moments.
Gundy pay i thought was about a mill to hire but his raises arent.
Everybody think gundy is my hero. I like him and dnt want to fire any coach thats winning. Just on a gut feeling we can do better.
If we dnt get the nil out osu sports will have troubles.
Cobb is a great example. Robert allen acted like oliver is good. If thats true why wasnt cobb?

It’s the worst thing happening to the college game. Paying the players isn’t good either, but that’s ALWAYS happened. It’s not new. And NIL isn’t effecting every player/program. The portal……is & does. College football is THRIVING…….but if anything can put a halt to the success……it’s the friggin portal
