To your points, Klieman is 1-4 against Gundy. Last year being the one loss. Gundy offers lots of kids, ones he realistically thinks there might be a chance. A kid you know you havd no shot at , why waste money on him. The under the radar kids we get a commitment and here come Texas , uo, Alabama etc to sign him
I wish we had more titles, but would I trade all the wins for a title and then suck for several years, no
I agree. The edict is spend it or elseâŚâŚ.but Iâm wanting to make sure of what the numbers are first.
So is recruiting better players and having a healthy recruiting budget. Itâs pretty simple really. If youâre a top 25 program you donât go from a 6-1 start to not being able to win a game. I never said that injuries arenât a fact, but it was extremely obvious that the talent pool from the first string to the second string provided a huge gap. Such a huge gap that we lost by 20+ to a Kansas team that didnât win a single game the rest of the year after beating us. Thatâs a fact.
When did I ever say that? At this point Iâd be happy just to compete for one every three to fours years (especially with OU and Texas leaving). Still doesnât change the fact we have no conference trophies since 2011 while K State has two of them. So thereâs that.
One could only dream that this comes true. Still waiting 12+ years later. Apparently some here donât seem to take that into consideration. Donât know how you expect to build a championship caliber program without winning a few championships along the way. K State is a school similar to OSU geographically speaking and doesnât necessarily recruit better than OSU on almost an annual basis. Then again Iâm told us getting a conference title or two within a decade isnât a reality . Apparently some donât think before they speak.
Been involved with a historic high school football program for over twenty years. In that entire time I have seen Cowboy coaches out at ballgames twice. Joe Wickline once and then McEndoo, Hammerschmidt and Henson the other time. Itâs lack of effort âŚmark it down.
Bill stop saying fact when you just say what happened on the schedule. One thing kansas lost there qb too.
Im going to explain this one more time. Try to keep. I will use the oline. First team is 5 second is another 5
So 2 deep is 10. Cole was out at first. 9 casey was out at the start 8 webber ran away after 4 games. That 7. I know brooks missed 2 games. Wilson missed 1 or 2. Not sure about the others but to be effective they like to route out. Were no deep into 3 deep. At the end of the year 4 of the 7 went and got surgery.
We were 3 deep on qb. We were 3 deep on recievers.
Evers, ford lacy rucker and harper all missed abunch of games. Black went out in 2 games.
When you dnt have continuity and your depending not only 2nd team but 3rd team its not gone. Yes i liked our 2 deep. The thing you missed is the amout the 3rd played.
Go break 2 of your fingers and see what happens
Dnt write back this is well over your head. You think where the 80âs sooners and had 115 guys.
You do know what a pipeline is. How many games did sonners go to. If they too are low then tells me the school doesnt have players. If high then that school coaches want to be a sooner pipeline.
You ever wonder why the crowd rushed the field when they beat us other than OU joy ? Why do they think they just won a championship beating us you idiot Because other than OU the rest we have best regularly. We may not have the championships but they respect us. Go around and ask or listen to what other coaches say. Your one thought brain canât comprehend that
You can say what you want, but the reality is we have a depth problem. Did 2022 not teach you anything at all? Also, to top that off having one of the worst recruiting budgets for a P5 program doesnât bode well either. Iâll admit I love your optimism but you need to get to reality.
The point still remains. Why donât we have two conference titles within a decade? How can K State do it and we canât? Are you going to answer that question or just run away from the point? You claim Gundy is 3-1 against Klieman. WellâŚ.thatâs just fine and dandy. I can also make the point that Klieman also has the same amount of victories against OU and the same amount of conference titles as Gundy. The only difference is that it didnât take Klieman 18 years to do that. I know facts hurt but theyâre still there and youâre still forced to acknowledge them no matter how much you hate it. Like I keep saying. Think before you speak please.
Reality. Reality.
Here is you we have depth issues. We have recruitment issues. We have the worst coaches. As far asi can tell boone rebuilding the stadium is the only reason we win in your reality.
Ksu can beat isu texas or us. But, that all ok because they beat uo.
Your reality needs a reality check. You can be the only big 12 team with 17 years of winning.
You only pick and choose what will fit your narrative joy. Just stop !! One year itâs Matt, next year itâs Aranda , Iâve asked you if Sonny is your standard this year ? Why the hell you asking me why the recruiting budget is small ? Seems thatâs Chads fault ? Why ask me. Gundy seems to make it work as far as good players Would it make any difference if it was like the goons spend ? You are out of your mind if you think it would. Most everyone is going portal now.
Injuries , depth, and something in house was the problem last year. If you pulled your head out an did some thinking you would know that
The reality is youâre not going to be winning anything thatâs worth a dam when youâre losing by 20+ to a Kansas team that lost four straight to cap off their season with a losing record. Itâs one thing if you play the game close and lose with what injuries we did suffer. Itâs another when you get dominated from the start of the second quarter until the end of the game.
How is this for a pick and choose narrative:
â16+ years of winning!!!â
âAlways making a bowl game!!!â
âItâs Mike Holderâs fault!!!â
âWeâre too injured to win a championshipâ
See how that game works? At least Iâm admitting we do win games. Maybe itâs time for you to admit we should have more conference trophies. The problem here is I wouldnât have to mention other programs doing similar or better to what OSU does in the conference title and NY6 bowl categories if Gundy and OSU would just simply do what K State, Baylor, and Iowa State have already proven can be accomplished.
Bill you must not even look at what these other schools do. Baylor and isu lost lastyear to us and in records.
You reality is just yours.
Stop posting you dnt answer anything and just repeat your nonsense
You and I are speaking of two completely different things. How are you not getting the point? Youâre talking about head to head matchups. Iâm talking about conference titles and NY6 bowls. Weâve accomplished just as much as Iowa State in those categories since theyâve reintroduced the Big 12 CCG. Last time I checked there arenât too many people aspiring to be like Iowa State. So I guess Iâll ask again. How come K State, Baylor, and Iowa State have proven it can be accomplished but OSU canât do it? Those schools (especially K State and Iowa State) are in a similar category that OSU is in geographically and recruiting wise.
If K State is able to prove it doesnât take over a decade to win a conference title or two then why is OSU sitting on the outside looking in when it comes to that category? Stay on the topic and stop trying to change the subject and argument. Itâs not MY REALITY. Itâs what actually HAPPENED (past tense bro). You can blame the portal and everything else if you want but it still doesnât change the fact (and reality) that K State has proven it can be done being in a similar position as OSU.
Ive talked about ksu. Lets talk about lsu some. First you lie. They havenât even come close to osu in the last 10 years. They have 5 losing seasons no 10 win seasons.
Only 1 big6 bowl appearance.
Campbell had no major injuries with the most talented team 2 years ago won 7 games.
These guys are good coaches. Ksu has done welll in the portal.
We have a good program. They other school do too. But, your reality is still bent. Look i was disappointed last year, blaming it on coaches and not understanding how deep we went into players is sticking your head in the sand. We were running a different qb out almost game in the last 6 games. You keep talking about 2 deep and not facing the fact we were into the 3 deep.
After the tcu game they had a players only meeting and only half showed up. We only had 1 lose. Why do you think gundy talks about these guys wanting to be here. When he talks about health.
I will stick behind gundy not these other coaches. Like chris sonny, dave and matt. They have all dropped the ball. More over less
As Iâve pointed out twice already. Youâre not staying on topic here and youâre changing the argument. I donât care what Iowa State has done the last 10 years compared to OSU in the win category. Iâm looking at what Iowa State has done since 2017 in the NY6 and CCG categories. Believe it or not they have the same amount of NY6 bowl wins and conference trophies OSU has. Thatâs in itself is a shame considering Iowa State is a traditionally worse program than OSU.
We can talk trash about K State having two or three losing seasons since 2012. The fact still remains they have twice as many conference trophies than OSU does since 2012. In the world I live in winning conference championships is a good way to building a championship caliber program. Winning is great but does nothing if you keep proving you canât win on the bigger stages.
You went of topic with in your post. Dude get over yourself. You have said ksu for ten years and isu for 5. Thats bs. That goes back to us saying you cherry pick.
Stop posting we have the best program
Your going of on ksu. Look at that team. No top 10. No big6 bowl win. 4 loses. Lets compare gundy and chris for time there. Come on. The title is the best chit diver ive ever send.
