The only teams I’ve seen in this conference compete for championships so far in the last four seasons are TCU, Baylor, Texas, and Iowa State.

I didn’t ask if they did it every year, or what their record was afterwards. All I asked is if they’ve competed for a championship. I don’t understand how those lame programs and coaches can do it, but the best coach in school history has struggled to get us there.

They did come out and say it was to tell the recruits he is here to stay. So yes. I doubt there is much difference in his new contact besides a pay raise.

No….you guys just have a warped concept on what competing for a championship is. Now if it’s mid-season and you’re undefeated you can say “We are TRYING to compete for a championship”.

Now if it’s the championship game and you’re team is ACTUALLY PLAYING for a championship then you can actually say “We are competing for a championship”.
