That’s not what I asked. I want to know how Jim Knowles and his defense altered Corndog’s offensive performance and decision making against K State and Tech? I never said the 2018 defense wasn’t a problem. What you just said made no sense at all. Excuse me if I don’t ask you to explain your “wealth of knowledge” to me again on this subject.

I never said we could have beaten ksu or tech with better defense. If we’re had better defense ( I’m not even talking last years defense) we could have won a title.

We all know the big name coaches gundy had to coach against. You got stoops brown and riley, not the best at there school but won games. There snyder, pickel leach and patterson that were the best in their schools history. Campbell will or is the best. Briles arguable was Baylor’s. Even kansas had there best year every.
Since 2010 gundy has had 7 10 win with the covid year could have been. 3 big6 bowls with 2 wins. Winning almost at 9 game clip. 16 winning seasons. Even if you want to say the bowl expand, it’s still 16 non losing seasons. A play away from natty title game. A play away from playoff. 4 2nd or better big 12 finishes.
Other teams that recruit like us are trying to do the same. I’ve heard from 2 guys ku is going to make a run this year. One is a national guy.

It’s been 22 years since Bob Simmons left. How many more years do we need to be a part of the field of 64 before we decide that we want to be a better program?
Guess they should’ve helped him come up with a better game plan. Like not making a running QB try to be a pocket passer.

What were we doing playing football before gundy. Hundred years before 2011 we were in the national eye once. Since 2011 we’ve had 2 years that we were.

When you have to send the field goal team out in the red zone that’s tells me it’s more along the lines of a red zone offense problem, and not specifically a Spencer Sanders problem. So we should just be content with being able to get to the red zone? That’s the problem. You’re always settling for the consolation prize.
Or his OL could decide they need to protect him better and actually tell Dickey and Gundy “You have to let Spencer run. We can’t keep the pocket from collapsing”.
Okay that’s fine, but Simmons has been gone for 20+ years now, and think what you want about Miles, but he was the first coach at OSU to get us to three consecutive bowl games since Pat Jones. Gundy is still under this mindset that if you make a bowl game it’s a really good thing. Maybe a while back when there weren’t as many, but there are over 40 bowl games now. Making just any bowl game doesn’t carry the same weight it used to.
I’m not saying a bowl game is a bad thing. I’m just saying nobody gives a dam about watching the Liberty, Cheez-It, or Alamo bowl any longer. You can’t get nationally recognized on a consistent basis unless you’re consistently playing for NY6 bowls or conference titles. If you want more national exposure Gundy is going to have to realize that you need to place at least 2nd place in the conference on a more consistent basis.

I know we have a red zone issue with Sanders. Corndog was like 75%. Sanders this year Sanders did his best at like 60%. It’s not all him. Injuries didn’t help.
The team did improve on stuff like flags. Look at you go gurl, yea block better. If 2 pics were on poor blocking plays, he has been he long enough to throw it a way or take a sack. That is a main thing missing in his resume.
Sure miles got use to 3 bowls. But, like everyone except you know we were headed to probation with miles. Simmons was just not a great hc. But he didn’t leave miles nothing. His best was as good as miles best. There was only 1 coach in between miles and pat. The probation hurt us more then anything.
I addressed the bowls by saying he still would have still had 16 non losing seasons. Why are 6 and 6 teams not bad. Go check on guys like snyder and patterson. It’s hard to come back from 6 and 6 teams. Having 5 or 4 wins just drops your rebound potential. There are only a few teams that win 10 game every year and less do it every year. He does get us to second every 4 years since 2011 and 1 game away what another 4.

How many teams have climbed out of the gutter in the last 20 years to be top ten in wins Joey , minus Clemson? I can’t think of any but us to elevate their program consistently like we have. Go ahead dimwit , find one

Back in the 90’s an d 2000’s snyder did it. Its not done happen alot tho.
Joy thinks that there are alot of schools that wouldn’t put up with gundy. The only schools that would recruit better then us. I can name a ton of school that would love gundy that he thinks won’t.

K St was the bottom feeder until Snyder first term for them. Helluva a job but Prince was a dud for then so Snyder came back and did all right but had losing seasons. We haven’t had one in 16 years Don’t remember all the top 10 teams but I think we are the only one that has 70 years of bad football except a couple when Barry and Thurman were here

I do think we’re better. I’m just stating 20+ years of consistency of making bowl games is good enough. The program needs to be better than that.
Top 10 in wins isn’t going to elevate a program minus the trophies to where it needs to be. Are you too stupid to understand this?
Let’s see how much they would love him after four years of not meeting their expectations. Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida State fans aren’t the same as the OSU fans or OSU administration. That’s something you need to get through your brain.
