OSU Season Postmortem: Dreadful Finish, Injuries and a Mass Exodus

Robert is a loser. He’s happy with a bowl appearance.

Moron moron. Lol did you read your post. You said that we had no game with more then 3. Then you list 3 guys that basically missed every game.

You act like only sanders was hurt, is hilarious. Stop post me your a moron. Throw out the 3 that started hurt. We still only had 5 starters start every game.
@aix_xpert
Lets look at tcu 8 of there top recievers missed a combined 3 games. Top 2 running back and qb missed no games.
You guys talk about patterson. Look at duggan he was hurt alot last year just like spencer this year.

Abunch of cry babies that dnt know what is going on

No, Robert, it’s not a part-time job. PFB is my part-time job; CBS is my full-time job. So get your facts straight.

Hahaha lmao thanks dude!!! I knew this dude was a total buffoon.

Are you really too stupid to understand this? Sanders missing was the largest factor. Look at the time he wasn’t 100% healthy compared to when he was hurt or not playing. You’re a retard!!!

Curious question for you Robert:

How many more seasons would you give Gundy without a conference title? We’re at 11. Next year is looking a lot like a rebuilding year, given our QB situation and the number of new starters will be breaking in. So probably not next year. So 2024? 25? Or are you of the mind that Gundy doesn’t need to win championships and just making bowl games is good enough.

I think Roberto got muted or something lol.

Robert is of the concept that if it’s better than it was 50-60 years ago that Gundy is doing a great job. Therefore, a conference title isn’t needed. Even though a program like K State (who doesn’t recruit well) has two conference titles in 10 years :man_shrugging:. A program like Baylor has three conference titles in 9 years :man_shrugging:. A program like Iowa State has played for a conference title and won a NY6 bowl :man_shrugging:. A program like TCU (With a new HC in its first year) is playing for a national title :man_shrugging:. Gundy can do no wrong. Even though he’s the highest paid coach in the conference (currently).

Well sorry. Its odd you choose to correct over your employment. Not over the marshall stuff. See marshall had to say he was sorry. I wonder if it was the question or past regressions.
Because i dnot keep up with boone. You cant think @bill18 you still think fooball is played by 1 player.
Who is the stupid one i real dnt understand what your trying to say or prove. You keep rattling on about said. Then saying we only had the players gone each game. Then tell us we had 3 gone all year. Then your writing is a joke. You say compare when sanders wasnt a 100% to when he was hurt. Not a 100% means he is hurt. Moron

You guys are going on about tcu go look at how many games they missed. Also explain why they had 5 wins last year. Bill stop post to me your a moron. Go talk to boone.

I have a better question who is your knight in shining arm

Your sis belives they grow on trees. We can just pick te next sonny. Did you read @bill18 post talking aboutthese teams. Do you what the next briles. Dave had his run low injuries got the title. You know dave is actually in a rebuild next year. So 3 loing season in 4. Matt topped out at 9 wins he went 4 wins and will be rebuild his defense. Its hard to tell what chris and sonny have untill there players declare.

You guys act like next can be a good year we nail down a qb. Which i dnt think it will be armstrong. some dl and ol we will be fine

Same talking points joy : aka bill … you spew out the same chit for 3 years. Quit posting, you lost a bet. Crawl back under your rock. Your football intelligence is less than your IQ… you have no idea what an OL that is depleted is a shell of its self when healthy. A bad OL ruins the whole offense… at least admit when you’re wrong, you do T win your lose a bet though so wouldn’t expect you to be honest about it

It’s a painful read, but the Daily Oklahoman ran a feature on Trace Ford yesterday. There was a pretty telling comment he made about Gundy and defensive line coach Greg Richmond:

“I think they’ve kinda flipped the corner,” Ford said. “They’re ready to go on. G-Rich and Gundy, I don’t think they could care less.”

Recognition and the desire to feel wanted and needed is more important in the business world than even compensation. If college football is business, our CEO/coach needs to understand this.

Hey…How many TDs did Jarwin have after that massive 3TD performance? lol

i don’t have a knight in shining armor. I’m not sure who would be a better coach. Maybe the guy at Tulane? But I’ve seen 18 years of Gundy to know that he isn’t the guy whose going to take OSU to the next level. Again, I recognize that Gundy is the greatest coach OSU has ever had. And that he’s leaving the program in a better spot than he found it. But I also recognize that he can’t elevate it any higher. The inability to build upon his successful seasons (such as 2011 or even last year) demonstrates that. And I’m willing to risk a bad hire for the chance at the home run over hitting singles with Gundy every year.

Edit: I’d hire Todd Monken as the next OSU Head Coach if we moved on from Gundy today. So I have answered your question. Would you answer mine? When do you expect to actually win a conference title under Gundy? How many more years should fans expect to wait?

Oh man. @robert28 is about to lose his schitt on you for that recommendation. His response will be that he got lucky, it was a fluke, and he never did anything before. That is his canned response. If Gundy loses, there are a million reasons. But, if another coach wins it is always luck.

But, I agree with every word of your response. They think we are ragging on Gundy because we are based in reality. We know he is the best OSU has ever had. We know he did things at OSU no other coach could do. But, at the end of the day he won’t ever do anything more. If he could he would have after 18 years. It would be entirely different if Gundy had played in multiple conference championship games or made it to the playoffs, etc. But Gundy has proven that he has reached his peak and has been declining. You only have to win 6 games to make a bowl. The 17 years of bowls is meaningless for me. Bowls are worthless today unless they are the top 4. I don’t have an answer for a replacement either, but it would be nice to at least open up the conversation and see what interest there is. Who knows who we could get? How does any team find a coach? Effort. If we choose not to go in another direction we are bound to repeat history year after year. Ford said it best, Gundy could care less. That isn’t a good quote to put out for the world to see. Especially when Ollie Gordon’s uncle has voiced concerns about players leaving because of the culture. Hopefully comments like these will show the AD that something is very wrong.

I think someone taught you the alphabet incorrectly.

Not really. He’s just making sure your facts are straight. Those little pesky things you don’t seem to like.

Explain to me how they got rid of their winningest coach in program history and now find themselves in a national title game a season after only winning 5 games?

My football intelligence tells me that we’ve made 19 bowl games over the last 20 years and that maybe….perhaps….we should aspire doing more than just that after a couple of decades. What do you think? Are you on board with that?
