Well thanks I am positive and I think next yr will be tougher but Gundy’s not done.
One thing u guys over looks there are 7 schools ( take out ku ou and texas) that fight equally for players and wins. And in the last 15 yrs only osu and ou have not had a losing season. I know u guys think Gundy should walk in to any house America a get the recruit. Reality check no that’s not how it works.
We’ve ran away from our identity offensively.
From 2006-2013 we recruited smaller and more agile lineman. We recruited lineman that could reach the second level of the defense before the HB even hit the line of scrimmage. We recruited lineman that could make pulls fast enough to shed blocks to the other side of the line. We recruited lineman where we could make wide enough splits at the line of scrimmage to open holes for our running backs. They also maintained there blocks until the whistle was blown.
From 2006-2013 we recruited quarterbacks that played smart football and could consistently find receivers for small gains and we recruited half backs that could be used as receivers if needed.
From 2006-2013 we played fast and smart offensive football giving our team some kind of breathing room and we didn’t struggle to score touchdowns in the red zone.
From 2006-2013 we used to have some of the best special teams play and players in the entire country. We had kickers go to the NFL and extremely good kick and punt return games.
Now in 2020 we have:
Huge OL that can’t get to the second level of the defense in a timely manner. Can’t open a hole long enough for our HBs to get thru. Can’t protect the QB at all. Can’t pull fast enough to be a lead blocker on the other side of the line. Sit there and look at the HB or QB as they get tackled by three defenders, and don’t attempt to keep blocking before the whistle blows.
Now we recruit QBs that are super athletic and dumb as a rock when it comes to reading defenses or checking down, or they end up play stupid football without implementing the basic fundamentals.
Or…
We recruited talented quarterbacks that are smart and make good decisions, but they are slower than a tortoise and we don’t give them the OL needed to protect them.
Now we recruit HBs that complain or are more worried about a shirt and politics than team success or anyone else on the team for that matter. We recruit HBs that love to fumble the ball. We take HBs meant for open space and LOS splits and try to ram them up an OL’s butt with no open holes at the LOS. We also love to sit them 10 yards behind the LOS and do delayed draws on 3rd and long hoping they can get a first down behind crappy OL play.
Now we play turnover prone football on offense. We are one of the most undisciplined offenses in the country when it comes to taking care of the ball or using fundamentals. We love field goals more than touchdowns now. We are elated when we make it past the 50 yard line. Instead of throwing to the TE or WR on 3rd down for a touchdown we now run it to the middle of the field to set up the field goal team.
Our special teams has been non-existent in the return game, undisciplined, and our kickers haven’t been nearly as solid (until this year).
That’s how much has changed with this team since Wickline, Monken, and Deforest have all left.
Boynton can get the #1 recruit in the country to come to Stillwater, but Gundy can’t get more than one Top 300 recruit to come to Stillwater?

Some of these things are in ur head. I mean really. Gundy cant keep an oc because his offense is so GREAT. If u don’t believe why r they get better jobs. But alot Gundy has address buy hiring Dickey and Knowles and get better defensive recruits. Don’t talk to me about about this ol, there are very few tem that can be playing 3rd string and be good.
U really need to chill Gundy will be the coach next week and next yr. Ur nonknowledge just drives everyone to drink. Boynton bought the #1 play with a job. The others aren’t any better then other osu coaches.
So Boynton can get the 4th best recruiting class in the nation this past year, but Gundy can’t get one top 25 recruiting class the past nine seasons?
That’s back when we use to throw slants for touchdowns. He has been on record saying he dose not like doing those anymore because kids careers could be in jeopardy. He said the other day that he won’t play a kid that is not 
ready physically to play collage football even if he can win us a game because of him getting hurt and ruining a kids career but I’m sorry but find me one winning coach that has that same attitude. This is a MAN’S sport!!! He’s to soft in his old age to win a championship of any sort.
See if the next #1 fb recruit has a brother needs a job so we can get him
