Fallout from Monday’s ruling.
“and that Tech “should be ashamed of itself.””
Tech is in the business of trying to create a P4 program to consistently win the conference and possibly compete for a national title. I highly doubt that the donors, alums, and fans would care less about other’s opinions on the matter.
I would think if we were in Tech’s situation we would probably have the same response. Then again, we still do have those “fans” that would rather see us go 0-12 for the sake of “doing the right thing”. Which puts you even further away from winning your own conference or making the CFP.
What color is the sky in the world where OSU would be found in a position where even a hint of an NCAA violation (much less a pole vault over a legal limit, like Taco Tech) would garner anything other than debilitating flagellation?
I think perhaps heliotrope.
Well, Baylor never even paid a price for shielding a massive culture of sexual abuse and rape for crying out loud. And that WAS the NCAA who had the say in that one. No, the missing element here was that it wasn’t OSU, that’s all. They would have padlocked every building on campus if that was us.
There must be a solution. Can the league (B12) sanction him for league games? Can states where tt plays out of state block him from playing - i believe that was a texas state judge, not federal. Think outside the box - could the B12 vacate every victory by Soresboy while at Cincinnati and threaten tt like that?
Total joke this dude is being allowed to play.
I support this
You’re probably right. We get treated differently. Just saying if that scenario were possible OSU’s football staff and AD would certainly be doing the same for Mestemaker.
So, does this mean every team that refuses to play Tech has to forfeit? Making Tech the conference champs and a CFP appearance again?
I think the real problem here is the suspicion that a judge was bought. Oil money runs deep at Tech
It would take all teams agreeing, not just a few. I’m all for them treating it like boys playing in girls sports…simply refuse to play. Definitely don’t play at their place and cost them game day sales.
He retired in 2012 and came out of retirement to rule on this case. There’s no “suspicion” that he was bought.
Nobody in league plays them , don’t care if they go “ undefeated “ them playing no games the committee can put them in the playoffs but tell me how that world works when they haven’t played a game in two months. Campbell getting a little over his skis with the money deals I wouldn’t expect any less from Tech
Cody Campbell wants to clean it up, but you can bet your bottom dollar he had his hands all over this court case and supporting his alma mater. NCAA has long been a clown show! Punish us and Dez for one lie, not even a wrist slap for MEion Sanders who set up the meeting that got Dez in trouble so his friend could become Dez’ agent.
They’ve got some political clout. Remember it was former discoTEX guv’nah Ann Richards which lobbied hard to get them in the Big XII in the first place. Obviously not as much as UT and A&M, but still…oh yeah, I forgot. Guess which former Baylor Prez defended one Jeffrey Epstein the first time he got into trouble? The same clown that supposedly tried to get the Clinton Crime Fam for Whitewater…one Kenneth $tarr.

The only hope is that the league itself imposes sanctions. I really think this thing is fixing to be a massive thing throughout the college landscape. People were wanting some guardrails on things lately…this may be what does it
I generally think Yormark is a bit of a Carnival Barker, but theres no doubt hes done a better job than most wouldve given the situation of the Big 12 at times. This is a sticky one. Your likely most successful, visible program in one corner…while the rest of your league in the other. Tough waters to navigate. Having said that, you cant allow one program to be bigger than the rest (see Texas with the Longhorn Network in the “old” Big 12 days) or it will cause your Conf to die a slow death.
So, what are the betting odds
the $ec or b10 use this against the B12?
oSu
I think this is actually the one thing that everyone will be in unison about.
Agreed. But leave it to $ec & b10 to try and degrade the B12.
oSu
I mean…those are the two power conferences. By a wide margin.
