Venables has about the same odds of winning the conference as Gundy. Pretty much none.

Did Venables go winless in the SEC? Did he go winless in a conference with no blue bloods?
They did better than Gundy did in a conference with no blue bloods.

Both coaches sucked this year. Gundy simply was worse. OU won’t tolerate it. OSU will. That’s the difference. One program takes this seriously. One doesn’t. Guess which is which.

It’s easy to look smart when you dominate others with resources. OU doesn’t anymore. We’ll see if they can figure out a winning strategy.
Which conference has better teams? The Big 12 or SEC? Did OSU even beat a ranked team this season? Because OU certainly did. He’ll be better off maybe winning the SEC at OU than Gundy would be in the Big 12 not having to face any blue bloods. You know it, I know it, and everyone else on this forum knows it. Sometimes the truth just hurts.
OU had a bunch of new players and played a Freshman QB. Still managed to make a bowl game in a conference where they don’t dominate in resources. Gundy practically returned his entire and team kept finding newer ways to keep losing. You need to go get your head examined before calling anyone else’s statements ignorant.

I said nothing about a “winning strategy”. I was speaking specifically on winning the conference. Which you don’t care about doing at all. Good luck getting to the CFP without trying to win the Big 12

Why don’t you hide yourself? If y’all don’t like someone criticizing Gundy go away. He sucks, one conference title in 20 years and every year since has been excuses. If he wins one conference game next year, y’all will be screaming improvement.
