On Sanders’ legacy at Oklahoma State.
100% need to get a portal guy for next year.
IMO we won’t be able to get a good portal QB until we fix our OL issues. Oh, and fix the Dunn issue. Again, just an opinion.
Heard the Feels Like 45 guys talking about Gottlieb’s comment about how Sanders will be remembered - what will his oSu “legacy” be? That’s the thing I worry about, and feel cruddy about. If he goes somewhere else and excels, I know I’ll always kind of remember him with a mental asterisk. Maybe I’m too old school but I just want a guy to finish out his career wearing the orange and black in Stilly! I don’t know, it’s a tough call and a weird situation all of this has created. Kinda makes me puke a little!
Three of those four Bedlam interceptions happened in the 1st quarter and the other in the end zone. Don’t pretend like it was the number of passes thrown that caused all those turnovers. Sanders may go somewhere else and shine, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
You’re probably right and that’s why it pisses me off that Dickey is still employed. He should’ve been shitcanned by noon on the Sunday after the WVU game at the latest. Dunn needs to be replaced now too not after the bowl game. Gundy needs to get with the times of getting his next guy before everyone else picks over all the good options.
Here is an idea being floated . . . Sanders to Auburn!
ESPN Analyst Names Perfect Landing Spot For Top Transfer Quarterback - The Spun: What’s Trending In The Sports World Today
The only thing Sanders lacked, to be a first round NFL pick, was an offensive line. If it were up to me, I would fire Gundy and bring in a coach with some energy and who can relate to the modern-day high school player, and recruit players who want to play in the NFL. Gundy’s “Culture Crap” just won’ cut it if you want a championship caliber program. Mike brought us to the foot of the mountain, but he is too comfortable and lacks the energy and personality to climb to the top.
Seems like a dumb move to go to auburn. Their line sucks asss just like ours.
Yea isn’t Auburn in a sort of tail spin/free fall these days?
They were before they hired a new coach a few weeks ago. Don’t know how he will pan out but I wouldn’t blow my last opportunity there.
Well, I suppose we can agree to disagree about the sky falling. I guess I’m glad it’s not up to you. This “Culture Crap” has built the best program we’ve ever had, has us as one of the winningest programs in the country, and on and on. You do know Gundy has a modern-day high school player living in his house, right? That kid’s done pretty well. You also probably know every coach preaches culture - they just call it “family” or the “fill-in-the-blank-school Way” or something. And, to another of your comments, I really have to ask - do you (and others who hold this kind of view) do you REALLY think Gundy is intentionally NOT recruiting payers who want to play in the NFL? Really? You really think that? Do you really think, deep down, Gundy doesn’t WANT to win - that he WANTS to be less than conference champ every year?! I just don’t get that perspective. He’s an ex-QB. He’s the guy who stood up to fight Brian Bosworth. He can’t have the giant ego some people claim and ALSO be complacent and content with not being great. I just don’t get that mentality from some of the fanbase. Ok, I’m done - I’ll slip my orange-tinted glasses back on and relax…
Cowboy Culture accounts for less than 1 conference title in 20 years. Not something I’d promote.
Showing your below average mindedness again.
That’s what these ESPN guys and other notable people have been saying. I think it will look bad on us if he goes to a Florida, Alabama, or Tenn and someone coaches him to his max ceiling. He needs to go to a school that knows how to use a dual QB. I think he can play better.
I got a question one that I should know but haven’t thought or looked into it much. But where did this 50+ million come from for the stadium? I wish we could get a good NIL gig. Mason Cobb is getting a nice deal from Texas A&M??
Yes it’s clear your not the “Cowboy Culture” type. Respect, Honor, doing the right thing, etc
You mentioned Respect, honor and doing the right thing but I noticed you didn’t mention defeatist, playing scared and punting on 4th and 2 when you’re down 28-0. That’s part of your cowboy Culture. Or running up to middle for the 40th time when hasn’t worked 39 times.
I’m not saying you don’t know this already, just clarifying. NIL money can’t come from the school itself, per guidelines. It’s has to come from outside the university. Stadium expansion moneys come from the university. Now, those are typically donations, but they were donated to the school……which then does the renovations.
