Listen….it happens bro. It’s not unusual for a top ten team to go on the road, and barely lose to an average team. Especially if it’s a place that’s considered one of the tougher places to play in college football (See Iowa State 2011).
What is unusual is when you lose, at home, to a G5 team that went 6-7 with a blowout bowl loss (Tulsa 55-10). Then your coach goes on national television and tries to convince the country they didn’t lose that game, and then follows it up with 11-2 Alamo Bowl rings.
