Spring Football: OSU Returns a Lot of Talent, Production at Linebacker

I don’t care how much Gundy pads his wins Boynton won the conference just as many times as Gundy while he was here.

Regarding donors:
Boone Pickens invested in this program.
Sherman Smith invested in this program.
In the 2000s I went to the OSU at Georgia game and was surprised to find out that Georgia’s biggest donor only gave $5m.

See Chris you’re getting the nonsense @robert28 and I fight every post. This started out as a LB post then you have these two idiots that turn it into a fire Gundy , fire Dunn , both are overpaid and over rated. Joy …aka bill … has used the same talking points for four years. He writes novels on the same subjects. Jug likes to talk about when he had. a meeting with Holder to tell him what he thought , oh brother
You can’t rationally talk about a position or a team without their complete nonsense. They actually think that with one of the smallest budgets we should be a BB … you will be wasting energy trying to talk common sense to these two idiots

Boynton didn’t win, you skip over that jug
If Boynton had ever been relevant he wouldn’t have ever been fired

You’re right. Maybe I should have phrased that a little better. My point is just don’t be content with accomplishing bowl eligibility.

I’ve never called for Gundy to be gone. What I’m calling for is better assistant coaches. Dickey’s lines have been mostly inconsistent since he arrived. We’ve only had two years under Dickey where we didn’t have to wonder if we would be able to run the ball or not.

Dunn is what Dunn is. He’s the 15th highest paid OC in the country, inconsistent, and has never accomplished a top 25 offense. He’s going into year 5. Nobody should have to tell their OC to give the ball to the best players on offense. Don’t even get me started on Rattay and his payroll bandit ways.

Now with that being said, it all goes back to the HC. Is it any coincidence to you our three best seasons under Gundy were under the three best hires he ever made? No, we hold onto people like Dunn who wish to be average, and fire people like Richmond who has been in the NFL and actually developed a couple of players that ended up being drafted.

Do we have a trophy in Stillwater? You’re making my entire point for me. This is what prevents us from ever being a major program. We don’t have a championship mindset. We have a “good enough and excuses” mindset.

No, I said we were predicted to win the conference. We finished 3rd.

Such as 2013 and 2017. When we were supposed to win the conference and also play for a conference title. Then found ourselves 3rd :man_shrugging:.

Clearly you stated” and also play for a conference title.”
You write your own narratives, then you change your stance or deny you said it.

Whe you say we are stating the fans don’t have a championship mindset? Were fans. We don’t call the plays, we don’t execute the plays. We just sit there and watch the game.

You moron does it ever occur to you the best offensive team we had were the best qb and best receivers. !! Look it up
Richmond was let go because Gundy thought a change needed to be made. He is the coach. You aren’t, you can’t change it Seems to me we gave up big chunks of yardage on the ground the last two years. It wasn’t personal. Girl you need a hobby
You must have missed Gundy telling the whole staff after the USA game that to go and get it fixed. He didn’t care what it was , just get it fixed

In 2013 Athlon sports and Bleacher Report both picked OSU. There were more.

That’s what was predicted in 2017. Then we decided to get embarrassed at home to TCU and K State. Those schools aren’t BB btw.

Did it ever occur to you that it was a no brainer to our assistants at the time to put the ball into the hands of the best players we had despite the competition? So who is really the moron here?

Who’s idea was it to limit giving the ball to our best players until disaster struck?

When you say the reason for the best offensive seasons we have had were because of the coordinators !! Give me a break !! Dam joy if they hadn’t had them I doubt that they would have been much better. Capt Obvious

Gheez you are just dumb joy , the line hadn’t jelled yet , you still think you give the ball 30 times in non conference… that’s just stupid, absolutely stupid. One day you will learn football, but I’m not positive about that I can’t wait for the nonsense tomorrow

Who do you think taught them and developed them?

If I see myself down 23-0, at the half, at home, to a G5 team, I’m going to try something. Not make sure to keep doing the same thing that’s not obviously working. Gundy was right though. You can’t change the scoreboard, but you sure as hell can change the strategy after the fact.
