- Pecan Pie
- Green Bean Casserole
- Sweet Potato Casserole
- Mashed Potatoes w/ gravy.
Turkey > Ham
I agree, but I’m at Thanksgiving for the starch coma not the meats.
Insert Pumpkin Pie. Not trying to start a debate between pumpkin and pecan, because my plate has room for both. Pumpkin pie should be in the top 2 of that list though.
1-10. Pecan Pie
11. Sweet Potato Casserole
13. Fresh Cranberry/Orange Relish (not the canned cranberry glob)
14. Crescent rolls
15. Mashed Potatoes w/Gravy
16. Green Bean Casserole
17. Leftovers of all of the above
Bourbon pecan pie
- Mashed potatoes
- Corn on the Cob
- Green beans
- Lemon icebox pie
Good point. Especially the room for both aspect.
Never heard of lemon icebox pie, but I have to say I’m intrigued.
Thanksgiving food, much like Chick-fil-A, wildly overrated.
I believe another name for it is lemon meringue pie but in my family it was always called lemon ice box pie. I make the crust from hand using butter, sugar, and 'nilla wafers! The filling is 3 lemons, more sugar, and condensed milk. Then I hand make the “whipped” topping by stirring egg whites, vanilla, and MORE sugar really fast. OMG it’s so light and delicious! It’s one of those recipes in my family where it’s never written down, only shown or shared by other family members. SO good
See. This is constructive! Not like @kyleporterCBS’s takes.
Hot take: anything with green beans needs to be ranked on the bottom tier of any food categorization
My list should work for you then!
It does mostly, except for the take on stuffing, which I cannot abide.
Pecan Pie is TRASH go ahead @ me
I agree with Kyle Porter about the Thanksgiving food being overrated.
- Pecan Pie
- Protein other than turkey
Homemade Pecan Pie and any kind of store-bought Pecan Pie are totally different food items. Store bought would rank just barely higher than stuffing on my list.
1-9. Mashed Potatoes and Turkey Gravy
10. Pumpkin Pie
11. Pecan Pie
12. Buttermilk Pie
13. Cherry-Oh Pie
Nope all trash. Pecans
