I can agree with what you said. I’m not saying Gundy has been a loser his entire career. I’ll give him credit for the trajectory his first 7-8 years. I think since 2014 he had become incredibly predictable. That only became more evident when NIL started. Some of us called out the Pat Jones downfall. Now some are just mad we ended up being right.
Then I really gotta give it to my man because he won 30 games the next three seasons after that, had two conference championship appearances, and had his second best season winning 12 games and winning the Fiesta Bowl on top of two leading rushers including a Doak Walker winner, and a Biletnikoff winner. If he did that with his opponents predicting him, we probably did leave two or three nats on the shelf at least.
Hmmm how many times did we beat our rival and win the conference during that time? Baylor had won the conference twice in that span of time. What did we win? An Alamo bowl?
So what happened once NIL was introduced? 21-30 since 2022
. Like I said, Gundy’s philosophy during NIL was “it’s better to lose than to change”
Central Michigan, South Bama, and Tulsa all say
.
Gundy deserves a statue. It’s still sad how it all ended (and it needed to end) but it was good while it lasted. Patterson’s tenure ended the same at TCU and I expect Swinney’s will, too, at Clemson.
Gundy was great when he was great, which was mostly when he had elite coordinators. Once he started preferring buddies and coaches nobody else would want, Gundy was, well, less than great. And then he chose to go out by burning the whole place down.
Statue and Ring of Honor. These naysayers will be bitching about Eric Morris after the first loss.
Before Gundy we were an under .500 ball club While he was here he raised it well above .500. Gundy was very good at recognizing hidden talent So good that Texas and up starting to recruit kids we had committed they never went after I’ll admit he was too stubborn to adapt to NIL and wouldn’t go mingle with alums to get NIL money o We will be happy if Morris is as successful as Gundy Why anyone will reply to a bot in here beats me .. he should be voted out He only wants to cause arguments Come on Marshell it’s your board ![]()
Sounds like you’re looking for a safe space. Marshall he needs a little cancel culture.

I don’t think anyone is expecting Morris to beat Oregon. However, I’m fairly confident we’ll score more than 3 points and not give up nearly 70 like last season. I’m gonna laugh when you guys find out just how much different Morris is compared to Gundy in a good way.
Not true. Les Miles was 28-21 in his four years at OSU. Our rival was actually scared of us as well during that time. That’s 57%.
Stating a fact is not an argument.
He probably meant all-time. OSU was historically under .500 and after Gundy, it was over .500.
Looks like you need to man up so you can smear your pig chit other places jug. Man up , bring all that weak chit you got but i know you don’t have the guts to Jug
We’ll see, what if Morris is successful and goes like 38-10 in four years regular season, but doesn’t win a conference championship and Michigan, Clemson, or yikes Texas Tech comes calling….and OSU is again the lily pad program ala Jimmy Johnson or Miles.
Are you too stupid to see all time means all time , not 5 years , not 10 !! It’s just another way for you and your stupid dad to argue. Six games in this year you and dad will biotching
This may happen, but we’ll be recruiting and hiring a HC from the platform of being a 9 win team which for a Big12 squad would be fringe top25. That success will have driven more donor dollars, and we’d instantly be one of the top jobs available. I’d much rather live in a world where our HC and coordinators are being successful and thus being poached by richer teams than keep a bunch of people around who the industry doesn’t think are worth poaching.
Guess your definition of cellar and mine are two different things. I thought finishing DFL 2 years in a row qualifies as being in the cellar.
I need to Man up? Chit dude, you’re the weak a55 who needs Marshall to cancel someone you don’t agree with. You sound like a blue haired college girl who’s confused about your gender.
That’s fine. I’m just not going to pretend that more winning started with Gundy. It actually started with Les Miles. He didn’t chit his pants every time he seen OU apparel across the field.
Someone still hasn’t “man up” and told us he was wrong for suggesting Gundy would “fix it” when some people told him he wouldn’t
