It’s not going to matter if you can’t hold onto them. Gundy signed 5 four star recruits a couple of years ago, and now 66% of them are gone. Of course, we rarely got to see what they can do. My statement is still true. Experience over talent. OG barely played any in 2022, and he had just as many 100 yard rushing games as DR. Now he’s the best RB in America and DR couldn’t even get on the field at Baylor. Keep ignoring the obvious though.
How many CFP games has Gundy won? How many National titles has he played for? I think you should be more focused on him getting there first

Knowlees defense was good enough for 7 wins. We got 10 this year.

Knowles defense didn’t give up over 30+ points to G5 and former G5 teams either. When you run the ball like we did this year, and sustain drives, your defense doesn’t spend as much time on the field. Knowles defense was on the field all the time and they still finished 25 spots ahead compared to last season. You better get a clue clown!!!

Knowles had a very young defense his first season. Nardo had at least a couple of returning starters with NFL potential. Kendal Daniel’s was a returning Freshman All-American, and Oliver was also an NFL caliber player.
He still did worse than Knowles in his first year.That was also while playing one of the easiest schedules in the country. Get off your soap box and just live in reality for a little while. Nardo might be good, but I doubt he’s going to be Knowles good.
Like I said before. If he can get to 61st this season he gets the benefit of the doubt in my book. Maybe you should actually investigate the team and WHO is actually returning before making a comparison and an excuse for a guy that wishes to hold Knowles’ jockstrap.
Ask Gundy if he’d rather be playing for the chance at a National Title, or if he’d rather sit on his couch and watch it at home. I’m going to say he would probably choose the first option

He gets more respect nationally for the 10-win seasons and the bowl streak and the consistency. That’s because fans of other schools don’t care that he’s like 1-4 in conference championship/de facto championship games. Or that his Bedlam record was 4-15. Or that he’s 2-2 in NY6 games. Or that his average recruiting rankings are not usually top 25. Nationally, it’s cool that “Gundy does more with less than anybody in the country!” Locally, some of us are tired of hearing it.
Here in the state of Oklahoma, we know the whole story, and as fans of the Cowboys, all of it matters. Not just the parts we all want to pick and choose to build a narrative.
