Thunder thread

Also, not the Thunder but Iggy got 30 MILLION!?!?!?!

I’m going to blow up this thread talking to myself today. I can’t help but think that the Gallo to the Heat might be a little smoke screen to a different deal.

Yeah, I have been confused about this Iggy thing since it started. This isn’t 2015 Iggy. He is old. He isn’t what he was. And then they gave him a ton of money! I just don’t get it.

AND hasn’t played all year. It’s so weird. I guess good for Iggy :man_shrugging:

I just saw that the 2nd year of the 2 year extension has a team option. It isn’t as bad as I thought, but you’re still paying the guy $15 mill next year. Sheesh.

It’s still A LOT for a guy who hasn’t played in so long and is old. I don’t see why they would extend him already before seeing if he can even run up and down the court.

Hill and Crowder both going to Miami. Looks like Gallo being a part of that trade is dead. Still could be in a different trade though. Give me Herro.

Edit: Dion Waiters is headed to Memphis as well. Seems less and less likely Miami and OKC are doing a deal right now.

Yeah, Bam or Herro would be a homerun but I doubt Miami splits with either of them.

Presti and Pat Riley are on a skype call just staring at each other. The first to blink has to give in. The twist? Presti just put up a still photo of him in front of the screen.

I just don’t see a deal getting done at this point. The Heat basically wanted Gallo for removing the protections on that 2023 pick and some of their expirings. I think that the sticking point was probably that Presti wanted Hero and Riley was not willing to give him up

Well, without any players coming back… it’s a really really bad trade as it stood as

OKC:
Removed protections
Waiters
Johnson

Miami:
Gallinari

That does nothing for OKC.

Guys…South Beach has a high cost of living.

One minute left…

Edit: I should say that trades could still be happening we just don’t know. Gotta wait until a bit after the deadline

Feeling decently relieved that the Thunder didn’t do anything.Roll the dice with the fun squad and see what happens in the summer.

Yeah, especially knowing that the Clips got IT and Marcus Morris. The door in the West was barely, barely cracked. It probably just closed. Let’s roll with this bunch, regroup in the offseason, find more young guys and/or picks.

Everyone is clamoring about Marcus Morris and IT… I don’t see it. Are they better than not having them? Well yeah. But I don’t think that puts them in a different class.

Well, the Thunder are 2 games out of 4th as we sit now. With having the tie breaker over Houston. Houston I think did get better, however if we played them Houston would get like 2 rebounds.

We have the second easiest schedule of the teams above us with only Utah having an easier road. :eyes: :eyes:

Yeah is anyone else pumped that Presti didn’t just blow it up? This team is so fun!! This will give us some more time before we go into tank mode. I’m pleased!
