Well, I hate to see Gunnar leave because I personally thought he was the best QB on the roster this year. But, I’m hoping that we can take this as a sign that Flores has a future at OSU.
Am I reading too much into that?

In terms of Gunnar hitting the portal: I see it as a chance to go out on his own and get an opportunity to start somewhere the nepotism cloud won’t hang over his head.

Is this a good move for Gunnar though? He played more snaps than Rangel, Bowman is leaving and Flores didnt play at all. One could argue that he had a chance to start next year… So why is he leaving?

There is still talk that Bowman is applying to NCAA for another year.

I haven’t heard but could speculate with a couple of reasons. If I had to bet his leaving is connected to what he wants to do after college as opposed to just getting playing time somewhere.
“What he wants to do after college”……why would he portal somewhere if he wasn’t going to play football?
I’m sure the plan is to transfer somewhere he can play football and pursue his academic goals.

If Rangel is the guy I think we are in trouble next season. I’m hoping its Flores or the incoming kid. Rangel seems like a nice young man and a servicable backup, but I just don’t think he’s the guy.

Good news is boys that our terrific head coach signed off on going after two kids in the portal one from Utep and the other from North Dakota. Nothing is changing you will be sitting here next year with no trophy saying the same things at this time next year. That should be all the free gift certificates we will be able to hand out for the year. Osu sports is in a bad era. Pitiful.
It’s about time you guys get off the sucker train. It’s embarrassing to our university. Boyton needs to go as well. Baseball can’t get it together and wrestling has been mediocre as well for over a decade all while the new administration has done a big fat 0 about anything. Gundy is like Biden you know, he sits there and tells you the program is in better shape then it ever has been while we see the complete opposite.

The OL from North Dakota is legit. He’s 6’ 5" and over 300, and since he entered the portal he has also been offered by A&M and Auburn as well. I actually would be surprised if we get him.

Seems crazy but what does he have to lose? He’s not likely to be drafted. Maybe he’s talked to Ollie, just like we got a second year of Weeden to Blackmon
