We need to be SUPER clear about the roster and portal moving forward…

  1. Because of the revenue sharing ruling, rosters are being dropped to 105 which is automatically going to force players into the portal.

  2. Lofton was like our fifth(ish) string WR this year. Sure, he might be pissed about the lack of playtime, but he clearly wasn’t a star. See ya :v:t2:

No amount of transfers in can save us if we bring back our JV-volunteers level coaching staff.

He was hurt ( broke finger) the first 5 games. What I saw of him he’s not a bad WR

Yes and no.
The overall rosters are going to decrease, however, the number of scholarship kids is going increase from 85 to 105. I don’t understand the reasoning to remove walk ons from all rosters. Some programs will offer walk ons scholarships especially on special teams like kickers and long snappers

Did you see our special teams this year and specifically Friday? Tons of missed FGs and extremely undisciplined.

I didn’t see Friday’s game and it would be hard to see the mistakes in our special teams when our defense is historically bad.

Jumping offsides on a punt giving them 4th and 1, either running into or roughing the kicker, and missed FGs have been a problem all season. He’s no purple wizard that’s for sure.

I think it’s safe to say there’s zero urgency. Why would you need coaches up and ready before the opening of the transfer portal? I’m sure no one else will be trying to get the the best coordinator available and offensive linemen. Im also sure everyone agrees Gundy can evaluate the talent that can contribute next year.
Remember fate is sealed December 28th.

I personally think the following coaches need to be gone:

  • Rattay
  • Dunn
  • Dickey
  • Nardo
  • Randolph

I think at the bare minimum you need to replace Dunn and Nardo. Friday night is a text book example of what your future seasons look like with those guys next to Gundy, and recruiting in the 50’s and 60’s with minimal talent coming in from the transfer portal.

Anyone else remember the articles about OSU being the next possible “top dog” of the new conference? Yea….not happening if you go 0-9 in the conference with the same team as last season. Nobody is going to continue donating money for a staff that won’t try, or doesn’t want to change. Btw, Gundy said they won’t change. So there’s your answer.

They want more donations and don’t even coach in accordance with their pay scale. As far as I’m concerned they can all go pound sand.

Btw, Aranda is going to a bowl game. Also, Matt Campbell has made the CCG just as many times as Gundy. Guess who didn’t win a single conference game this season? Gundy is also only 1 of 3 P4 coaches in the country to not win a single conference game :+1:.

And Mississippi States coach died in the middle of the season last year.

And he was only there for two years. He went 4-8 last season, and then 1-11 this season. His buyout is 9.3 million.

Believe me, I know we do. One would think after a 52-0 loss you wouldn’t need to go and “watch tape” to make a determination on what has occurred for the entire freaking season :man_shrugging:.
