I don’t understand what the university leadership is doing. We are falling behind in the queue of programs looking for new coaches. These idiots should’ve known they were getting fired weeks ago. The university says they want to sit at the big boy table but won’t make big boy decisions. It is embarrassing as hell.

This could be a key moment in the hiring of both coordinators. Now’s a good time for OSU to look at hiring an offensive coordinator that could step into Mike Gundy‘s shoes when he retires.
Gundy has made it clear he’s not trying to retire anytime soon. He will not do any of the sort until Weiberg forces him to do anything different besides what he learned in the 80’s and 90’s. The silence so far after the season tells me that’s the last thing the OSU administration has in mind. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised a bit if this same exact staff remains. We run off good coaches when we get a chance. We retain coaches that not even FCS schools would want.

I’d go after the SMU OC. I’m not exactly sure what his salary is because it’s a private institution. I don’t think they’re paying him $500,000 a year, but I could be wrong. Would also have someone that’s used to recruiting the Dallas / Fort Worth area as well.

I’m good with all of the transfers out, we all complained about this team all year so we can’t be too sad about losing some of these guys. But still pretty underwhelmed with the transfers in category…. Looks like we’re holding to the old Gundy strategy of winning with subpar recruits.
