Briles hasn’t been at Baylor since 2016. Since then Baylor has played for conference title twice and won one. Gundy has played for a conference title twice and has zero. The difference here is Baylor has been under Jim Grobe, Matt Rhule, and Dave Aranda since then.
So I don’t know how you can keep blaming this on Briles and rape culture. I think if the school administration was smart they would be calling Baylor and asking them how they keep competing for championships without sticking to the same guy.
U count the wins and titles of briles.
Waco is also just a better place to land recruits.

I’ve been to Stillwater hundreds of times, and I’ve been to Waco several times. You guys can claim Waco to be this college football paradise if you want. I can tell you it’s not that much different from Stillwater. It’s a little bigger with a river running through it. That’s about it.
And it’s in the middle of Texas. U seem to miss major things. Did u sleep during class too

Winning isn’t everything to me Joe. Being a girl dad and a graduate of Oklahoma State University I appreciate the winning culture both on and off the field that Gundy has created.
I know you couldn’t care less about that stuff. It’s okay. We can agree to disagree.
The people on here that complain the most about OSU athletics are usually the ones who have the least invested.

I generally only went to test no matter what school I was at. I end up with a b average take classes less then 5 % of students take and less pass.
When u were taking intro to college science and mathclasses.
Did people hunt u down to be in study groups.
They have computer programs that can rite for me.
There is nothing made to improve ur intelligence.
I just gave an example of Baylor vs OSU since Briles has left. You don’t have to have a team full of thugs to win a championship. You just need a competent coach with a competent offense.
Based on this I can certainly believe you had a B average.
Survivor bias. Just because Baylor wins a title 4 years after they should have gotten the death penalty doesn’t mean it’s easy. I’m not going to sell all my worldly possessions and buy lottery tickets just because someone won the big prize. With the success we’ve enjoyed under Coach Gundy how many programs would trade places with us? Texas, even with all of their resources and brand, is jealous of our record. We’re in the most successful period of football in the history of Oklahoma State and people like you refuse to enjoy it because we haven’t won championships. Chad Weiberg isn’t going to come to this forum for your armchair quarterback advice. Our boys aren’t going to make those two inches just because I wanted them to. It’s a game, and if you can’t enjoy the good times because they aren’t the best times you shouldn’t watch.

I think you’re asking the wrong question. The question should be “How many programs would be okay with one conference title in 17 years?”
Even Pat Jones said today we should be beyond that point already. I would think if Pat Jones thinks we need to be more successful, then so should everyone else involved in OSU athletics.
Gundy is 1-4 when it comes to trying to win a conference title. He didn’t even have to play OU for it. Which always seems to be his mental block. This program shouldn’t be at a point where this offense can’t function at all when one or two guys go down.
Imagine having Jelani Woods to throw to across the middle every single time Baylor brought pressure instead of true freshman Blaine Green? If you’re going to hold onto a coach that isn’t championship caliber, then you better go find championship-caliber players. Especially on offense.
Which is why I say give him a bigger budget!!! Quit giving the guy excuses to make every time he fails to do something. Let’s try and get our first top 25 recruiting class in a decade.
You’re not saying anything here that couldn’t be said about almost every college football program save for a handful of blueblood teams (something we will never be, at least in my lifetime). I’m with Snappy, I’m going to enjoy the NY6 bowl and see what next year brings.
