Y’all seem to think that racking up wins against teams like Missouri State Oregon State and Kansas brings prestige while letting Baylor TCU and K State win conference titles.
How many more conference titles does Baylor get to win before Gundy has to win or be fired? How about Iowa State? What about Cincinnati or the other teams coming in. I can tell you! All of them can win as much as they possible cause Gundy will never be fired. He could finish in the bottom half of the conference for the next 20 years and y’all would be talking about how close we are. This is worse than little brother syndrome.
National recognition contributes to prestige. The AP Poll voters and CFB Committee get to determine how strength of schedule plays into each team’s comparison to one-another. Beating high powered football programs such as OU is meaningful, or at least maybe to most of us. Perhaps not you. To each their own.
Unfortunately I think you’ll find yourself disappointed if you decide to judge a team based on its record against another that invests significantly more capital in its program and regularly attracts far better recruits.
You brought up OU, I’ve been asking about the other teams in the conference and ones coming in. I didn’t even mention Texas. We’ve went 10 years without winning a second conference title does he get 10 more years? 20? Ever?

You’re right about Oline coach deserving some scrutiny. I don’t understand how it is still a weak point considering we hired Dickey from KState and they had good lines. I don’t know what the deal is here.
Who said you had to? Baylor has done nothing but prove with two different coaches after Briles that you can still make it to the championship game a couple of times within 4 years and actually win one. Our coach has proven if you stick with him another 10 years the best he can do for you is runner-up.

Baylor has beaten OU four times since 2011 (Gundy has done it three times)
Gundy is 4-7 against Baylor in his last 11 meetings
Baylor has played in three NY6 bowls since 2013. (Gundy is on his second)
Baylor used to be battling it out with Kansas to avoid last place in this conference. Now they are competing and solidifying themselves as the ring leader for the new Big 12 conference.
Meanwhile, we have a coach that’s 1-4 in conference title games, and finds ways to lose to first and second year coaches. Are you still sure want to stick with mediocrity?
Well….eventually when the head coach keeps mimicking excuses to the media your average fan starts to believe it. It’s a lot like propaganda. A lot like what socialists and communists do. Learn to listen and be obedient. Don’t ever use any critical thinking skills for yourself.
That’s a threat to the corporate elite. I hope one day our athletic budget can get upwards to $150 million.
