Not sure if it has to do with Bitcoin or not. I thought it was just manufacturing issues because of Covid. The new CPU and GPU series are impossible to get without a monitor. Just got a new Ryzen 9 ordered the other day. Still waiting for a 3080.
Some of the most fun I’ve ever had on a computer was last year when Halo Reach came to steam. My friends and I learned to speedrun the game to get an achievement for beating it on Legendary in less than three hours.
I wish I could partake in this thread more. My graphics card bit the bullet back in October and I’ve been waiting for the Nvidia 3080 Ti to be released.
So I’m relegated to pre-2005 released sub-AAA gaming. Except for Stadia and Geforce cloud games
So your graphics card has kept you from using the keyboard? What kind of 'puter you using boy? /s
No just don’t have much to contribute. Don’t have any recent Xbox or PS consoles and the PC games I am currently playing are kinda fringe. Rocket League, Total War Empire, and Door Kickers 2 are my most recent play time choices
Unless I’m way off base here, the 3090 is essentially the 3080 Ti
I’m shooting for the added VRam up to 20GB without the price tag of the 3090. $1500 vs an expected $1000 is worth the wait for me
Edit: specs wise, I tend to agree with you
Ahh, smart. Good luck getting one man!
Same here! hoping the available stocks level out by the time that new card is coming out
I picked up Immortals: Fenyx Rising (previously Gods & Monsters) and it is awesome!
I’ve always been a huge Assassins Creed guy, but decided to go for a non-AC Ubisoft game this time and have been thoroughly impressed. It has gotten a lot in common with Breath of the Wild, which is a good thing, while blending some of the RPG elements of recent AC games. Great art style with some Greek mythology based humor and stories.
I was planning to get AC:Valhala but with the way 2020 went, I decided I didn’t need anything too serious in my life and opted for a lighter game instead. Highly recommend if you are looking for a challenging but never frustrating game with a nice gameplay loop.
Has anyone here played Ghost of Tsushima? I’m loving right now. The graphics and world are beautiful and the combat is really fun.
I’ve been considering getting that. I got the PS5 and have mostly played Cyberpunk, Spiderman, and COD on it.
My wife got the PS5 and Cyberpunk and has wanted Ghosts of Tsushima… so I can join the conversation right?
Of course!
@marshall, you playing League of Legends: Wild Rift?
I haven’t downloaded it. I still play League on my computer, though.
Gotta hop on PGA 2k21 if you guys haven’t yet. They made the mistake of having the verified tour pros unplayable, which made zero sense, but outside of that the gameplay is top notch for a golf game and the divot derby is a blast. Good enough of a game that it forced EA to rise from the golf grave to try to match 2k with a golf sim of their own.
@OSUgrad Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and even Fallout 4 are all absolutely worth picking up. My favorite game franchise of all time.
I’ll have to try these out! Again I’m admittedly a sports guy first, but mostly because I don’t want to pull the trigger on buying a story mode game if I end up not liking it. But lately I’ve branched out. Finished LOU2, Arkham knight, and mafia III which I thought was underrated. That was a real fun game. I’d also like to get into more online geared games like apex, rocket league, COD, etc. I’m just not very good at COD. Lol
Also not sure at all if you’re a VR guy or not, but if you have played / own an oculus 2 I’d be interested in hearing about games on there too. My Buddy had a golf game on there that was wild. The graphics aren’t great but It literally felt real like you were out on the course. And the ball flight is pretty accurate to my real ball flight too. I’m considering dropping the 300 bucks on it just for that alone.
