Odyssey and Origins are fantastic. I actually 100%ed Odyssey, which included all the DLC! I still think that AC2 is the king of the series, though. I liked Unity’s story until the end and Black Flag is legit. I’d say that Rogue is actually underrated as all get out too, since it came out at the same time as Unity but only on the last-gen consoles.
Rogue was good. I was on the 360 then and got to Unity after all of the bugs were worked out. I think Unity has one of the better settings, but wasn’t given a fair chance because of the issues at launch.
Definitely think the new release cycle helps things a lot.
For sure. I can’t wait for the Vikings one. With that and Far Cry 6 coming out in the next couple years, I am all in on Ubisoft.
All three Bioshocks came out for free on the monthly PS Plus membership, so I’m gonna run through all of those here soon.
Infinite is elite-tier, at least in my mind.
The idea of Black Flag style piracy with the entire north sea as a playable are is nuts. I can’t wait to play it. Heard it’ll be out around November, so still a ways to go, but all the promo material should be fun to consume.
Another oldie, but a goodie, is Alien: Isolation. I just started playing that again.
If you love the Alien movies, you will LOVE this game. Even on “Easy” difficulty, the game is stupidly hard. And takes some real cunning.
I just started playing The Division 2 ($3 on Xbox right now). It pretty good so far, has anyone played it?
Played the first one. Finished the campaign, but couldn’t go further. In the beginning, the Dead Zone or whatever it’s called was so poorly thought out, and really unfair.
It looks fun, but I can’t do multiplayer games. I hate everyone too much for that.
Well, The Division’s was really bad in the beginning. Not sure of what changes they made to even the playing field. But I would go in there, totally peacefully, wouldn’t attack other players, and then all of the sudden some douchebag would kill me, take my stuff, and run away, when I was completely underpowered and couldn’t defend myself. Of course, by doing that, the player was identified as “going rogue”, and they could be hunted down by the other players. But if they were powerful, then it didn’t mean much.
Much honest. I like it.
I’ve played that kind of game before and, almost to a man, all other players were assholes. I don’t need that in my life. I get too much of that here already ()
Yeah, it was rough. You could do certain “gestures” with your character, like wave at other players and signal that you were “passing by in peace”. One time, these two guys were randomly running around. I stopped and did that signal, and then as I started to run off to do something, they shot me and took my stuff.
That was my breaking point. But then I found a dude who was powerful and kind of tagged along. That actually kinda helped.
Yeah, I haven’t gotten that far. That sounds miserable.
Don’t totally write it off. They had each tier indicated on the map, which would let you know how difficult the enemies are in each one. As long as you generally stick to doing your own thing, maybe finding one or two people to tag along with, you should be good. Just be careful when putting your loot on the helicopter that periodically stops. Sometimes people would just go to town and massacre an entire group of people.
Anyone here played Outer Worlds? I’ve heard it’s very good
I’m kinda lame when it comes to the gaming world…
I mostly like Fortnite and sports games.
If anybody plays Fortnite or Madden / 2K / FIFA / The Show - feel free to add me on PSN: B-Geezy405
Any MLB fans?
I joined an online league for a PC baseball sim called OOTP (Out of the Park) and it’s taken over my life. We have a league with about 20 or so user controlled teams and 10 run by AI - so we’re looking to add more users.
Basically you are the GM / Manager of an entire baseball organization from it’s rookie league all the way up to the Bigs.
We have a Slack chat for the league and it’s fun for negotiating trades and what not with other players across the world.
