We actually give the Astros GM alot of sh!t for what happened in real life.
Outer Worlds is definitely fun. It’s a cross between Fallout and Borderlands, really.
Haven’t played but heard it’s a great game.
Yea I kinda like it when I have to figure stuff out. I hate it when you get done with a game and then go “Wait…that’s it? 20% of the gameplay was the learning how to play phase!”
Far Cry and AC are essentially the exact same game with different skins though, no? Like almost exact same.
I played a Far Cry and an AC too close together once and got so burnt out on both because of it. I had to wait like 3 years before tackling another one of the two.
Same. I’m 40. I have no business sitting on a couch eating cheetohs playing shoot’em up games with teenagers.
They’re the same company, but very different games, IMO. First vs. third-person for one. Granted, there have been some similarities, but I see them very different. Admitted fanboy of both series, though, so grain of salt.
You are right on the perspective of the camera being different. I guess maybe I’m thinking about in theory. Big map, with parts that get revealed as you get closer to, with side quests, and question marks and hunting, and etc. etc. I really do enjoy them though. It’s just that I can’t play them back to back.
Totally understandable. Some of the broader gameplay is similar for sure, especially with the older games. It’s interesting to see what people prioritize, though. For me, it’s all about the story. If I like that and the gameplay is at least solid, I’m good. A crappy story can sink a game for me.
Agreed. That’s kind of why I only play the big titles, because I’m in it for the story usually. Kind of like reading a good book. Why I typically don’t do FPS or Sports.
And unfortunately I find the ones with the truly great stories combined with fun game play are only the mega blockbusters that come out every other year or three. i.e. Red Deads, Uncharteds, Last of Us, etc.
So I’m doing some messing around and side stuff in Red Dead Redemption 2 after the game is over and some of it just…breaks your heart.
What side quests?
Cleaning up some of the random ones, but also meeting characters from before the ending/epilogue and catching up with them.
It’s also one of a few games that I’ve openly cried at several points during so…pretty dang good.
You guys…I said DOOM ETERNAL IS COMING OUT FRIDAY. Wtf…
I’ve contemplated a new work from home routine could involve more video games.
I want an Xbox series X. Talk me out of it.
Get a Playstation 5 instead.
There, talked out of it.
Why?
Because.
You need one. Just like I do.
