So what happened to Gundy isn’t cancel culture? The pushback happened contemporaneous with his action. You’re indicating it has to be bringing up something from the past.

BlazeTV is fighting back against the liberal bias of the mainstream media, and we want you to join us! Watch commercial-free tv shows from the biggest voices …
You and I can say all we want, but ticket sales will determine the future of the program. We can hypothesize about the intent of Gundy or PFB, but $$$ talks and everything else walks…
Yes, we had a former Colorado player coming out against Gundy for a word he said like in 1987???
But you have to ask yourself?? would Alfred Williams come out now???
So yes, we are going in the past to find everything Mike did wrong?? So by definition Mike Gundy is experiencing cancel culture. Right???
I don’t think someone should be able to undo pressure on how you believe or vote whether you are a CEO or a janitor.
Interesting take. Money = everything and no mention of honor or integrity. Guess you don’t buy into the Cowboy Culture.
Most coaches are “distracted”…they have to deal with 100+ players and personnel. Should he make an open door policy…absolutely. Sounds like Mike may need to develop people skills. But as I was saying in a previous post…Most coaches don’t know all their player names, their job is #1 to get the players to buy into the program #2 Pass their classes #3 Don’t do anything stupid #4 play hard.
Think Gundy has done well on almost of all those…
That’s not the main issue, was also brought up contemporaneously, and I don’t think would have been appropriate at the time.
Season ticket sales…
If folks don’t show up to the game??..coach gets fired right??
If you fired the coach for a T-Shirt…then most of the season ticket holders I know are going to leave.
First it’s not about the shirt itself.
Second, leave then. You’ll be replaced with people waiting to get your seats.
Do you think the players want to play for these fans?
I can’t talk to you anymore Scott. Looks like my post you have been removed…censorship
You must have friends in high places in PFB…
The highest
I never heard that Justice or McCleskey went to Gundy. How do we know? Regardless, if it didn’t work, I would not blame them for going to social media. BTW, I would want Chuba to remember Gundy has praised him numerous times publicly. That alone deserves some consideration.
I know you know that is not what I am saying. Criticism is fine. However, things like censoring, deplatforming, cutting pay, forcing apologies, decrying a speaker as a racist/nazi, etc. go way beyond “criticism.”
I will put it this way, if Gundy’s shirt had said “#abolishthepolice,” do you believe he have suffered any long term consequences? That is a radical left wing idea that would result in untold misery for millions of people. It is far more radical than sporting an OAN shirt. But Gundy could wear it on the cover of Sports Illustrated and no one, other than fans on message boards, would say a peep.
And what exactly has America done to be called the greatest country in the world? I high suggest you watch “The Newsroom” clip from episode 1 showing exactly how far off you are. And that clip is from 2012…which has lead to America becoming even worse.
You’re the one that has been tricked, into following blind patriotism instead of trying to hold the country to the standard it claims to have. You can love your country and still admit its full of faults and hypocrisies.
LOL Newsroom is a fictional TV show written by radical drug addict. Second, I know the clip you are talking about and the general theme of it is “America used to be great, but stopped being great after the turn of the 21st century.” Now, where have I heard a theme like that…
Counterpoint, Tucker Carlson would spend a week on it.
Thank you!! Finally someone that sees the truth behind PFB!!
I didn’t have a problem with the twitter post…I had a problem with the numerous…and numerous of anti-Gundy articles coming out of PFB.
-
Texas Tech got rid of their best coach Mike Leach for player/coach issues and look what happened? Never the same again
-
Kansas got rid of their best coach ever in Mark Mangino for a plane incident and look what happened?
These two incidents are nothing compared as a coach wearing a shirt on his “day off”
I think PFB was hell bent on getting rid of Gundy and failed after he apologized numerous times.
Maybe they can dig up a story when he played at Midwest City and did something wrong.
These young guys who support the blog don’t remember the days of suck and we are 1 coach away from going back if the OSU SJW’s get their way…
But be careful @cowboyslikeus … apparently some of the “+” are friends with the admins and will block you if they don’t like what they read. So PFB is a giant Echo chamber…Hope this post doesn’t get taken down…
