Cale Gundy, Brother of Mike Gundy, Resigns from Oklahoma's Staff after Reading 'Hurtful' Word

If it’s me…….I think winning the actual conference championship should be a major factor in determining who is the top dog in a Conf. If you’re talking strictly the revamped Conf members……you may wanna look at what Cincinnati has done. Or how about Baylor since 2010? Hey I think the Cowboys are a top 20 program. But how in the world are you getting a team that has 1 Conf title somehow the “top dog”

“Last year we were the best team, regular season champs”…….dude are you serious?!?! That Conf title loss should matter, don’t you think?

Cincinnati lost a chit load of starters last year. Let’s see what they do going forward…. I don’t know there recruiting but we will see

What does returning starters have to do with what they’ve done over the years?

I would think it has a lot , depending on what was behind the group gone. You know they were in a weak conference

Matt Rhule had a year at Baylor where he went 1-11. Few years later, Dave Aranda goes 2-7. Pretty sure things are a lot more stable in Stillwater than to ever allow that.

Y’all want to single out single years instead of looking at the whole body of work, how many losing seasons has Baylor had ? Should they not be competing for conference championships? Lord there in the middle of Texas. Meanwhile everyone that’s a supposed Oklahoma state fan sucks boynton off because he got lucky and was able to hire cades brother (who’s not a coach anymore btw). Where’s all of those 5 stars he gets coming to play basketball now @joe15 @ar1 ?

Yet Baylor can win conference titles. All we are wanting is a coach who can win 3 conference titles in 10 years. Gundy can’t win 1.

So you believe averaging 4th is better than 3 conference titles.hum interesting

Listen guys, if my choice is 3 conference titles and 2 bad seasons in 10 years or never winning the conference. I’m choosing 3 conference titles every time.

If my math is right, since 2010, OSU is 113-42 and Baylor is 97-56. So yea top dog.

Baylor has 3 Conf titles since OSU won it in 2011. OSU has 0. Including losing to Baylor last year in the title game. Strictly using the overall W-L record in determining who is the “top dog” & not the actual Conf championships …….is such an OSU thing to do.

How many 7-6 seasons does it take to equal one conference title?

You know the only ones mentioning that are the ones who can’t win a championship.

I don’t just look at total wins. I look at the overall picture. If I just wanted to look at conference titles even K State has won it more recently than we have. Baylor’s been able to rebuild three times and win it. When we do a rebuild the best we usually can hope for is 3rd. Unless we get lucky.

If I’m correct here. When you ask someone this question:

Which is better? Three conference titles in less than 10 years or one conference title in 17 years?

You tell me which answer they’re going to go with when asked that question.

Look, I get it…I wish the Pokes had won conference titles in 10, 13, 17, and 21…Yes, Gundy should have more conference titles. If we had won those, K-State and Baylor wouldn’t have more than we do. But I firmly believe that Oklahoma State is in a more-solid position to navigate the changes coming with realignment and NIL than just about any other team in the conference. And that is thanks to what Gundy has built. And I choose to believe he’s not done yet.

Ok this is something I can get behind. That’s something I won’t argue. That’s what you should’ve started with
