Caleb Williams ba ha ha ha!

Indeed I did. That is not an indication of it bothering me. Again, they are very adorable on 12yr olds

A hairstyle can look good on anybody who can make it look good, regardless of age. I’ve seen old dudes with them, and they look good. I’ve seen grown women with them, and they look good. It’s an extension of a person and can be treated as art in some respects. It’s just so weird to me that certain Oklahomans…many of them…get triggered by the dumbest, most inane s*** possible.

"get triggered by the dumbest, most inane s* possible"**

Hmmmm…Like someone having a different opinion than you on a website!!!

So you’re engaging in the typical gaslighting I see by fully-grown adults who act like social media trolls both on the internet and in real life.

(Which also is adorable…but I digress.)

It’s one thing to have a differing opinion if you’re on a website that isn’t specifically dedicated to any one team. Like Reddit, for instance. Go to r/CFB and talk about OU. Guess what? A bunch of fans of a bunch of teams will all talk about it with you.

It’s another thing to troll a blog specifically dedicated to one team, for that team’s fans to engage in “fellowship”, if you will. You will never find me on an OU-related blog. Never. I’m not 12 and feel the need to go be a d*** there. Honestly it’s a waste of time.

If you want to do this in good faith, which you keep implying, go ahead and purchase a subscription, big guy! The free threads attract only 2-3 people who incessantly post about the same crap, daily.

Again dude, youre too sensitive. I havent said anything trolling on here about OSU.

Differing opinions can be had anywhere chief.

This site wasnt created for “fellowship”. Dude, you are softer than puppy turds.

Honestly, I had a subscription on here. The paying guys are WAAAAAAAY more sensitive than the regular Joes. So its a waste.

"Good faith"…you sound like an attorney. Bro…ITS A DISCUSSION. You need to change that hairstyle to a Perm because you are waaaaaaay too soft for a mohawk

Why’$ it beautiful? I hope Univer$ity of $poilt Children lo$e$ every game and not just cause Riley is there.

You weren’t around when zerOU fans were trashing Venables? Oh, it happened!

Ive always been a BV guy. Ive had many issues with the pro-Mike Stoops crowd. Brent loves that extra LB…while Mike loved that extra DB. OU will still give up some points under Brent, but the program will be in much better shape heading into the SEC transition than it wouldve under Riley

They got Casey Thompson who will easily be a LOT better than Taylor Martinez.

The national champion just lost a five star QB and a 4 star WR to the portal. The big name teams can’t just stockpile talent anymore. Yes, one of those guys went to Bama, but if you look at Bama’s portal activity, they’ve lost more players than they’ve gained and to non-bluebloods and some highly rated players at that.

JT Daniel’s…….came to Georgia via the portal. Yes……all programs will lose players to the portal. No one is arguing that. The big boys too.

Explain to me how the portal is “not allowing the big boys to stockpile talent anymore”? 85 is still 85. Only now you can get some that have already proven they can play at the D-1 level rather than just seeing HS tape. Bama may have more enter the transfer portal than they take……but they’re getting guys out of the portal that are studs. That’s been proven already. You can’t argue that. The proof id already there.

No, the proof isn’t there. That’s not what’s happening. Good players are trickling down to lesser programs.

Now. The NIL could change that. Schools that can’t find people to pay their players may start losing players to schools that can. Right now, though, the bluebloods have a cupboard overstuffed with talent and players are leaving for playing time. Yeah, bluebloods are replacing that talent in the portal, but it’s like OU losing two young five star QBs and getting a 3 star veteran. It’s a good patch for a leak, but the leak happened. South Carolina got a QB they never could’ve recruited and USC is rebuilding with a nice couple of pieces.

"No, the proof isn’t there. That’s not what’s happening"…Yes, it is. I literally gave you names of players that it has happened. Bamas best WR in the playoff and best LB were portal guys. Arguably their best RB in 22 and potentially best WR will be portal guys. So how can you say "its not happening"? I absolutely admit that your statement of “good players are trickling down to lesser programs” is true too. Thats absolutely true. Good players are trickling down to “lesser” programs…AND …the big boy programs are getting better via the portal too. If you cant admit that, then you have your head in the sand. I literally have given you names of guys that have just done it.

Heres a question. If the best player in the country is playing at Georgia Tech. His HC leaves for the NFL and the player enters the portal. Where do you think that player is likely to end up? At a Bama, Ohio St, Georgia, LSU, Clemson type school? Or…someone else? Honestly answer that. Im aware there are multiple variables to play into a scenario like that. But just in a general sense, where do you think that type of player would end up?

He’ll end up where he can start. If a big name program happened to have a hole, he might go there. I think he’s more likely to end up at a similar or maybe slightly better program because he’d be more likely to get playing time and touches. GT’s a low bar. If he goes to another P5 school, it’ll probably be a better program, but I wouldn’t assume he’s going to a blue blood school. There’s only one football. It’s easy to go to Bama out of college and assume you’ll be the guy. It’s different after being in a program and competing and seeing how much competition there is.

Well I disagree, which is fine.

Seeing as you feel like it will create parity, do you think Bama, Georgia & Ohio St will come back to the pack?

Player limits, nil and portal all together keep every thing balanced.
I think nothing really changes. Players who get big nil deals we won’t get anyway. As long as we can keep kids like Oliver we can compete. I do thing a school like osu can make gains in recruiting and portal. With less room because of portal we can take higher left overs in recruiting. Plus with some many in portal there are guys out the the big boys dnt want, or big boys have lost.

“……keep everything balanced”

I disagree. In theory, you’re right. But NIL is not equal in Stillwater, Norman, Bama, Columbus and so on. There are two ways to accumulate players: recruiting & the portal. Who gets the best recruits out of HS? The big boys. Who gets the best players out of the portal if they want them? The big boys. Who will be able to offer the largest NIL $$? The big boys.

OU didn’t want Jaxson Dart? It’s about playing time. Gabriel was already there. If a big time team has a hole, they can probably get a very good player to fill it in the portal, but people aren’t leaving to sit on the bench. It’s not and it will not be a farm system, though, because you can’t recruit people until they’re already in the portal. You don’t jump in the portal to go to Alabama because you have no idea if Bama wants you. Now, the exiting coaches/coordinators thing muddies that some, but that’s the only time a player should have any inkling that another team for sure wants their services. Your whole conception of this is wrong.

Will they come back to the pack? Maybe. It’s probably more like the pack gets a little closer to smelling the lead dog’s butt.

Yea I know ur world has different meaning for balance.
What I meant was the big boys get the top players but other school at out in the cold.

It’s funny how a guy from ou would be upset and act like u guys can’t do nil.

Sure with this Lincoln deal u guys lost some guys. Unless Brent goes to the chitter I doubt it’ll happen again.
Rattler wasn’t Lincoln or nil. He needed a new home.

Of course OU wanted Dart. Dude……I said that I agree with you on players filtering down. No argument. You are the one who won’t admit that the big boys are getting better via the portal too……even though it’s a fact. I get & agree that playing time is part of the equation, but guys that are transferring to Bama, Ohio St & UGA are doing so to play. The guys going to those places thru the portal are starters. The 4 Bama guys they got out of the players are studs. Playing time is a given.

“You can’t recruit people who aren’t in the portal”……don’t be naive. You think guys hit the portal before exploring options? You think Caleb Williams talked to NO ONE before he hit the portal?

You honestly think that the portal is going to close the gap between the haves and have nots?
