Chuba Hubbard is my favorite. He is a respectful young man that’s is true to the University. He brings new life and recognition to the Cowboys. His success will be great for recruiting.

Barry, Barry, Barry

I’m going to go with Ivan McFarland.

Duh, Barry Sanders! :football:

Kendall Hunter but it’s all love to all the current and former cowboys and cowgirls!

After thinking about it, I’m gonna have to say corndog.

Reason: he’s the one that has drawn the most emotion from me and he did it all in one season.

Sure most of the emotion was negative, but there were certainly some highs.

The farther away that season gets, the more I admire what he did.

Daniel Bobik! Not a name you hear very often, but was deadly 3 point shooter and a big part of that Final Four team.

Favorite athlete has to be Jeremy Smith. We were in college at the same time, but never knew each other. Fast forward years later and we’re in training together at our job. Very humble guy and a great RB for the Pokes.

I have always been a great fan of wrestler Ray Strapp. Light weight. Watched his entire career.

This is tough and lots of great responses. But I have to pick…

Runner-up: Big Country. His half court shot to send the Missouri game into OT (and our ultimate win in OT) was the greatest experience I’ve witnessed in college basketball. OMG. It’s on You Tube. Watch it!

Winner: Terry Miller, 1976. Game was in Norman and I couldn’t go. But Gallagher was set up with seating on the floor and a really big screen and thousands of us were there. When Miller broke a 72-yard TD run on the third play of the game…freaking pandemonium! 31-24 became a symbol for years! Terry Miller, the best.

T. Boone Pickens!!!

David Glidden. Dude may have been “undersized” but he played with extreme toughness and had skill to spare. I don’t know how many times he was a go to guy on 3rd and long. He is a fine example of how character and drive are more important than stature. He is why Gundy looks for the players with the right amount of humility and hart above other characteristics.

Jack Hopkins. Played basketball and baseball for Mr. iba, who coached both. Jack had one year of eligibility left when he joined the Army Air Corp, despite Mr. Iba wanting him to stay. Jack was at Pearl Harbor in the attack, got hit by a bomb, spent 18 months in the hospital and returned to school for his degree. Mr. Iba made him an asset. On the national basketball team. He went on to be a counselor and head golf coach at Muskogee for 31 years. Allie Reynolds was a freshman on the baseball team when Jack was a junior.
