oSu transformed him from a boy to a man and a QB to cowboy back. He could have been selfish and stayed the course with idea of being a qb and transferred but oSu showed him the bigger picture and his potential career in the NFL is a blocking first catch second TE.

OSU transferred him from a QB to being a blocker 95% of the time because weâve rarely been able to make a block on anyone.
The NFL scouts arenât particularly looking at him as a blocker. They are looking for both. If they were looking at him as primarily a blocker they wouldâve started paying attention to him before he left for Virginia. The problem is we waited until he left to figure out that attacking the middle of the field has its advantages.
YesâŚ.the coach thatâs 1-4 when it comes to playing for championships. Canât even win it when OUâs out of the picture. We all know.
YepâŚ.:and the coaches afterwards were too scared to do anything other than what Gundy wanted. Then an NFL worthy tight end has to take his talents to Virginia because his previous HC had no clue how to use him.

And we wouldnât have if it werenât for Jim Knowles saving the day for him nearly every single game in 2021. Remember, the only loss we had during the regular season was when the offense was the last unit on the field. Maybe you all should start listening (as I said earlier). Gundyâs best three seasons were because of people that were smarter than him.

When he didnât have them he finished 3rd and lost three home games in 2017. A season where many projected he would play in the conference title game. No conference championships or NY6 bowl wins to show for it. Thatâs how important Holgy, Monken, and Knowles were for him.
