The Top 5 Quotes from Mike Gundy's First Spring Ball News Conference

Listen to parents is something a losing coach does. Listen to @bill18 is what loser fans do.

Out of any position, lineman are wanted everywhere. The portal is full if lineman, because everyone needs them. I would like to hear which lineman we had that are out playing ours. Bray got kicked of the team, went to tusla. Mills went to tech. Niether have beat us. Hunter and mills are the only went to p5. Only millis started.

What has hurt the line the most is this class at osu now. They are 6 guys with 7 years of play time. Every guy from the class after have all left because with covid they would never start. So when 2 years ago and 4 years ago when we had injuries we did have this guys. 4. Years agowe lost 5 guys by the second half of the first game.
What help this off season we didnt lose any to the portal, and gain 2 over the last 2 portal. With have good depth for next year.

There were a couple of freshmen OL that would have played a lot last year if not to preserve their redshirt wasn’t there ? Endean and another

I didn’t hear any freshman would have started but did hear Austin, Dotson and McKinney were ready.

There is a backstory with Tev, Josh and Dickey related to scouts that upset the entire room. Hopefully that comes out

The comment came directly from Gundy so not sure I understand?

There were many reasons why we lost so many guys back then. The major one was alignment with trainer’s program. If you noticed, last year the injuries were much different. Glass and Dickey adjusted last year. They were over working the guys and had too many shoulder etc injuries.

Tevor had issues with glass yell at him. Kinda like mayes. Big ole boys tend to be big babies. Sills was a die hard player not sure where your going with him.

Since dickey been here we have had 2 kicjed off. 2 retire. 2 had mental issues. 1 had grade issues. 4 left so they could play. 2 of those have moved to there second schools.
There is a reason why that whole class i gone, play time.

Dean sander and harvey get alot of hype. The 3 you mentioed and the 2 transfers next year line will be good if they all stay. With 3 nice coming in.

I’m not the one that thinks overall win percentage and championships is an either/or option because someone keeps proving they can’t do the other.

You can’t help yourself, can you? You keep avoiding questions that would make you accountable for your many stupid arguments. Dickey isn’t the one that got him there. How do I know? Because it literally took a change on our blocking schemes AFTER ALMOST FOUR YEARS for any of Dickey’s lineman to be half ess competent enough to block a single yard down field.

Like I keep saying. I’m not the one who thinks you have to have EITHER winning games OR championships and sucking for a few years as an option. Only a complete total loser thinks that way, and has no business being an OSU fan imo.

Gundy is working to keep all the young talent so let’s see how it goes.

On Sills and Tev, what do you think they learned from scouts? I think Tev had a Covid year left right and Sills was considering declaring after RS Sr year.

No freshman under Gundy will ever start on the OL unless they’re a far better option than what we’ve had over the last ten years or so (which isn’t saying much). Just remember that Gundy’s philosophy is experience over talent. He states it publicly and often.

If for some reason they are starting. It’s only because we’ve had injuries. Ready or not, experience is what will play key on if Gundy decides to play them or not. He might if we’re beating a G5 or FCS school to death. Which hasn’t been very often lately.

Im not following on the tev sills deal what are you saying

Lol again blah blah blah. What does your response have anything to do with my comments of my post. Nothing.

One thing i always love about you bill, you always think your comments about gundy are true only to gundy.
How many freshman started on any team in the last 10 years. Most freshman come in 25 to 50 lbs under 300 lbs. You keep us laughing with your coach talk. Really go apply.

Bryce Bray started for OSU as a RS freshman. So there’s one example. My statement still runs true. Unless a freshman is way better than what we’ve had (which isn’t saying much). They won’t ever see the field. In Gundy’s tenure so far, experience has always been seen as more valuable than raw talent. They could just strictly be better, and never see the field. Which is one of the many reasons they transfer out. Has not winning the conference in 12 years not taught you anything? We literally have a third string BB QB that starts for us.

You dnt understand that a freshman is in his first year. Rs freshman is in his second season.
You dnt know anything about this team or other teams. I culd come up with real freshman.

There are only 2 reason to play freshman 1 the kid is really good 2 your team is really bad… get over yourself

Scouts talk to coaches and trainers and if you wanted to keep a guy another year what would you say? I would hope you want them to get drafted and to help your recruiting but that’s not always the case. Nervous coaches make short term decisions.

I do understand that. RS Freshman or not he still doesn’t hardly have any experience.

There’s only two reasons (according to Gundy) when you play freshman.

  1. You’re beating the other team by 30. Which hasn’t been much lately.

  2. You have injuries and you have no choice.

Get over yourself.

This all started with me saying its not a gundy thing all coaches do this. Look at prime he is not even recuriting freshman. This is what im talking about. You and your misguided affair with gundy cant see this.

Well i don’t know because they say gundy doesn’t talk to the players about going. If true, then any player that leaves earlier has looked up his own hype.
